How has technology impacted Art?
The advancements of computers and technology in general have profound impacts on different aspects of Art. How it’s digested. How it’s created. How it’s distributed. How it’s critiqued. It’s enabled more Art to happen. Created new styles. Create new forums for expression and discussions (like this one).
Although technology has changed Art, we can still boil artwork down to these questions…what experience can I deliver to you that is provocative? That can change how you think? How can I, the art piece, change your relationship — not to me, but to something else or to the world? That question has very little to do with technology, but the journey to that state of a finished piece can involve many uses of technology.
So how do you think technology has impacted Art in general? How has it impacted you personally as an artist?
