NFL Reaches New Labor Deal

Congratulations guys! Power of labor unions once again is shown and proven. It is amazing that rich, powerful and famous workers like, sports players, Hollywood workers, business and multi-billion dollar corporations (National, state and local chambers of commerce) and politicians (political parties are basically labor unions) are still practicing their constitutional right to organize and lobby at every level. But, the minimum wage labor is frequently denied to have right to organize. Surprisingly, it is okay for billionaires and millionaires to organize. But, it is not okay for minimum wage workers to organize. Unions of billionaires and millionaires are good for economy and country. But, unions of minimum wage workers are extremely dangerous for economy and the country. What a bullshit? Isn’t it a joke or something that businesses, politicians and media that are themselves proud members of the most powerful unions (Chambers of Commerce, political parties and media workers labor unions) are at the forefront of denial of right to organize for minimum wage workers. Surprise!

Obviously, under the influence of corporate lobbies, we are back to the feudal system, the almighty multinational, feudal corporations, which are way more rich, powerful and influential then traditional feudal lords. In this newest form of Democracy, all rights are reserved for rich, powerful and famous, only. Poor people must just shut up and work. Don’t you hear frequently at your workplace that thank God for having a job in this economy? This is another reason, why big corporations, and conservative politicians and media pundits love the messed up economy. Every time, Republicans come into power, they mess up the economy, with the help of their friends in big corporations and media, limit the choices for poor workers and then blackmail them. Do you want this job or want to be jobless in this job market? If you do then accept whatever we offer you and do whatever we want you to do, anyway we want you to do. Big corporations are taking away benefits and stop giving raises to their lower level employees, while executives and CEOs are getting paid highest in our history. They are laying off workers and not hiring new ones. This is causing terrible increase in burden on an average worker. This also causing a major increase in, on job stress and stress related personal and at work incidences, ranging from terrible mistakes, accidents, injuries, increased risk of cardiovascular incidences and even deaths. The gap between the rich and poor keeps increasing and now, in the land of free and brave, this gap is one of the worst in the world. Even worse then some the world’s worst feudal societies. Middle class is practically disappearing and it is getting harder and harder for an average citizen to make ends meet. Standards of living keep falling and more and more people are slipping into poverty every day. More and more kids are sleeping hungry and are without healthcare. This is when top one percent of our population has more wealth then combined total that 90% of population has and top 400 richest people hold more wealth then 60% of the country. Are you surprised and worried.

Some politicians are not. What is worse, under these circumstances, is that some of our political leaders are still more worried about keeping subsidy for oil companies while cutting social security, Medicaid and Medicare; keeping the tax cuts for the richest while pulling off the healthcare reforms; Tax deductions for corporate and private jets are lot more important then anything else. Is there any limit to this shamelessness? I think not. Why? Because, if you do not have short term memory loss then you must remember that Ronald Reagan, a conservative, Republican president introduced what is now called as Reaganomics. One of the most basic principles of Reaganomics was that deficits don’t matter. Dick Cheney, a conservative, very powerful, Republican vice president for eight years was a very strong believer of Reaganomics and deficits don’t matter notion. George W. Bush, the most conservative president in our history and  Republican, took a surplus and turned it into a deficit of trillions of dollars. We had another, one of the worst economic and financial crashes, under Republican and conservative watch, that practically F’ed up the whole world’s economy, still struggling to recover from it. When, the most conservative, Republican, government in our history, did the biggest bail out of over 800 billion dollars, while Bush was deceiving the American citizens, stating that it was not a bailout.

Where was John Boehner and his hard-line anti-deficit army, back then? How the party that did all of that suddenly becomes so concerned about deficit that they would not care about anything, including a national default. If you do not realize the seriousness of a default, yet, you must know that it will downgrade the credit rating of our country and will have all the implications of credit rating downgrading, that you may have, if your credit rating is downgraded. Only difference is that it is going to affect every American citizen and tax payer, including those who may born even a century later. It will increase the interest rate on all money borrowed, including the trillions of dollars already borrowed. Try to calculate the annual increase in the extra interest that we all will have to pay on these trillions of dollars even if the increase in interest is only 0.1%. It will raise the interest rates on all the money borrowed and will be borrowed for consumer and business financing. Bills on all credit cards and loans will go up and due to default it will even harder to get any personal and business loans or credit, in an already a very tight financial market. Can you imagine the damage it is going to cause for already struggling families and businesses?

I mean, in the world, where the European Union is doing everything possible to prevent the default of it’s member countries, because of the potential serious implications for all EU countries, why our so called patriotic leaders are putting us on a serious risk for default. There is no doubt that spending is out of control and need to be limited. But, it needs to be done in a much safer and less damaging way.

  4. My ideal size is only available on-line (odd size for both waist and length). Love louis vuitton but hate when they are too long and get worn at the back due to catching at the heel. The on-line price is probably a little more expensive than buying in some store but you can get the exact style, color and size you want online.
