After taking almost two full years off to recover from surgery to repair his damaged vocal chords, John Mayer has finally kicked off his “Born And Raised” tour in support of his #1 charting fifth studio studio album of the same name.

Mayer was forced to cancel his entire tour after doctors found a granuloma in his throat; but now the multi-platinum singer-songwriter is back, and will take the stage at The Ed Sullivan Theater to stream a Live on Letterman concert at 8PM ET on August 19th.
In his time off, Mayer recorded a brand new album Paradise Valley, set to drop the day after his Live on Letterman webcast. The album’s first two singles, “Paper Doll” and “Wildfire“ have been tearing up the Last.fm charts, taking the #1 & 2 slots in Mayer’s top scrobbled tracks this week.
