The power-and-control tyrannical structure does not operate entirely on its own. It creates a web of proxies to help it maintain and extend its control. The power structure cannot survive without these proxies because it quickly loses the people’s trust, and it is the proxies who keep providing reassurance amid the chaos and distrust. Traditionally, it was the organized religions that provided the legitimacy to the institutions of coercion. “It is the divine, God given right. So, it is the best choice you have. Deal with it,” was the narrative. When Theistic religions got replaced by Atheism to play this role, the narratives and modus operandi got modified a bit.
The God-given institutions are now those that seem to have evolved out of necessity. “We must have the geographical boundaries in which we, the people, may execute our own will.” Bullshit. No one needs the artificially drawn lines in the sand. For a completely unexplained reason, all people on one side of the line must obey the same authority.
In contrast, the people on the other side are entirely free from that submission, and the people on both sides of the lines may have had strong bonds and relationships with each other for a very long period of time. Geographical division is not a natural division. It is a division made by power and coercion. There is another important reason for these artificially drawn lines of division. Most people would not submit to authority or stick together unless they perceive outside threats. Just like religions do, it generates a you and us mentality. That is why globalists are now trying to develop an alien threat out of thin air, so that they can make people submit to one global authority.
Freedom of speech is a foundational principle in Magna Carta, and the US and most other constitutions. Freedom of speech naturally gave rise to the free and independent media. To counter this problem, in many countries, there are official government mouthpieces among the media. In some countries, especially socialist countries, state-owned media are the only media outlets. In the Western world, on the other hand, where the traditions of freedom were much stronger, the governments and their intelligence agencies infiltrated the private media. Carrots and sticks are frequently offered, especially to the big media corporations. The government and the government’s subsidized advertising are powerful tools in this regard. Then there was a false pretence of public media, just like the government of the people. Under this pretence, the government provides tax money grants to handpicked media outlets at its own will. Also, a national security state arises to control and pressure the media. In addition, there is a new notion that freedom of speech is not absolute and that it somehow endangers national security and the people themselves. Ironically, your right to speech is somehow a danger to yourself. It means that the all-powerful institution will determine what you can say about itself and others. The government defining the freedom of speech is the same thing as a monarch would kill someone for criticizing them.
I agree that the criticism is not always honest or well-intentioned. But this is what makes freedom so valuable. People are free to hear all the different points of view and decide for themselves. Freedom of speech is all about dissenting views. No one dislikes and wants to suppress the agreements. At this point, we hear another argument that indirectly suggests people are stupid and are left astray by ill-intentioned people without government protection. Well, history provides us plenty of evidence that government protection in this regard never comes for the people. It is generally for the government’s own protection. Even if some people are stupid, it does not give governments the right to commit blanket violations of their fundamental rights.
Here, we also hear the argument about nazis and similar groups whose propaganda made people do horrible things against others. The nazi argument is a very lame argument. In these kinds of cases, it was precisely the opposite of the freedom of speech that made the situations worse. In Socialist countries and under Nazi and fascist regimes, no dissent was allowed, and there was a brutal suppression of freedom of speech. That is what made the propaganda so powerful, not the freedom of speech. Nazis, Fascists, and Socialists used all the possible proxies in their propaganda campaigns, as is done by most governments nowadays. All governments ultimately are tyrannical, as much as possible under the circumstances and social and cultural conditions.
Public schools funded by tax money, colleges heavily dependent on tax-funded grants, and other academic institutions also play a massive role in this game. The government’s near-monopoly over the entire education system is one of the greatest threats to freedom generally and to freedom of speech especially. People get indoctrinated from a very early age through maturity. Propagandized people believe that they are nothing and will have nothing without the government. Everything, including rights, comes from the government. Government is the new almighty, all-powerful God in the religion of Atheism. It solely provides you with life, liberty, and happiness. You all are answerable to it, and it is the only true judge of your deeds.
All the so-called experts, gurus, scientists, scholars, authors, and technocrats, who are the priests in the religion of Atheism, are the final authorities on their respective subjects and must not be questioned at any cost. You must have a government-recognized degree to utter even a word on any topic, just like in the good old days, no one could challenge the Bible and the priest. The priesthood in the religion of Atheism is far stronger, broader, integrated, organized, entangled, and gripping than was ever dreamed by the Theistic faiths. It has a much stronger marriage with the power structure than ever. Plus, it gives the illusion that we, the people, are in charge. It is our system, for us and by us; the Constitution poses the limitations and binds, while there is more than sufficient evidence that constitutions have never been more than a piece of paper for the governments.
