Device for easy TV listening : deaf

Bridesmaids Gifts

Hello redditors of /r/deaf[1] ,

A friend of mine has developed an electronic device for his wife to help her listen to TV programs easier. The key features the device has are:

Enables users to experience the television with amplified sound and amazing clarity without the need for hearing aids and without affecting the sound levels of others

May be suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss and can amplify volume by approx 40db

Works with Digital TV’s and Sky/ Virgin and DVD players without having to switch cables around and no loss of sound quality

Is less than 5cm square and plugs into the digital output on your TV set. Simply connect a pair of headphones with inline volume control to Digi-Whizz and you are set to enjoy louder clearer sound

It works very well and he’s now hoping to start selling them more commercially. He’s created this website for the product:

http://redwhizz.co.uk/[2]

I thought I would post a link here in case any of you would be interested enough to check it out. Hopefully it would be of some benefit! If you have any questions about it, please post them, I’m sure I could get him to do an AMA.
