Problem, Reaction, Solution, Says David Icke

The foundation of a state is a monopoly on the use of force and coercion in a geographical area. The idea is highly territorial. It implies that anyone who steps inside the territory must obey the laws, rules, and regulations a small group of elite formulated at their own whims and wishes. To establish this monopoly, they must subdue that territory’s inhabitants by hook or crook. For this purpose, they must coin the “you and us” philosophy. The basic idea in “you and us” philosophy is that we are chosen. For whatever reason, that could be one or more of those: religion, race, ethnicity, geography, language, and ideology; we are better than everyone else. We are the greatest, most civilized, most intelligent, most patriotic, bravest people, nation, and state with high moral grounds. We are born to rule, teach, guide, enlighten, and clean ones that must serve the duty of civilizing the world’s barbarians.
Because of our superiority, others envy us. They want to kill us, end us, extinguish us, destroy us, bankrupt us, and attack us. We will face incredible resistance from barbarians in accepting our superiority. But for the greater good of humanity, we must spread our way of life around the world and make people take it. Otherwise, they are doomed here or in the afterlife or both. This generates animosities and makes divide, conquer, and rule successful. This not only makes it possible to churn their citizens for their safety and security, but it also makes it possible to finance the enormous financial and physical burden of war. What could be better than saving the world?
In the meantime, all the other nations of the world are being told and taught similar lessons. Politicians, bureaucrats, corporate media, Academia, so-called experts, technocrats, and public schools are very handy in this task. If you go to Russia, Russians have all these qualities and duties. If you go to China, they have the same story. If you go to Europe, it’s the same situation. If you go to Africa, similar slogans. If you go to Australia, they are the best of all. Of course, the Americas are not different in any way. The point is, if everyone is chosen, then who is not selected? You guessed it right: no one is left out. But what if everyone is being told that they are coming for you then what?
Sooner or later, this divide results in conflict and hate. “We will teach them a lesson”. “They have awakened the bravest”. “We will never let them take away our freedoms.” can be easily heard on each side of almost every border. What freedom, by the way? Freedom to pay booty to the elite rulers? Freedom to obey the laws, rules, and regulations dictated by a small group? Freedom to die for power and control of some? Freedom to get robbed? Coerced? Forced? That is not even an issue. These freedoms are in every state of the world. The problem is that every group is better than the rest and must establish this moral superiority. The only difference is that some have a more remarkable ability to do that than others.
Even after all this noise and propaganda, most people are okay with surrendering freedoms to a certain level. Going beyond that point could be tricky and dangerous. There is always a threat of revolt and so-called treason. So, how do we go beyond that point? That requires propaganda and a strategy at a very different and higher level. David Icke has coined the “Problem, Reaction, Solution” terminology. First of all, it creates a non-existent problem. This artificial problem must be scary enough to generate a public panic reaction. Now, you can easily propose and enforce a pre-determined solution to help you tighten the rope. You can now cross the line and get into the realm of impossibility. People who never relinquish certain rights would now surrender those to their masters out of fear. It would be best to turn wolves into sheep to grab that other chunk of power and control.
This is how brutal dictatorships are established and maintained. This is how the bloodiest and the most expensive wars are fought. You would see this pattern throughout human history, which only worsens over time. “Sky is falling.” “We all will die”. “They will dessimate us”. There are cries behind every welfare program, every war, every power grab, and every new tax, whether it be income tax, tariffs, corporate tax, or whatever. However, we know that income tax is just the transfer of wealth from the owners, earners, and most efficient and needy users to the most inefficient, most corrupt, most crony, most murderous, most coercive, and most stealing institution ever created by humans, the government. Similar is the case with tariffs and corporate taxes, knowing that every penny ever paid in tax ultimately comes from the pocket of a consumer and end user.
“We must save the union” even if we must “kill” millions of our fellow Americans and “destroy” half of the country. “We must go WWII because we had a surprise attack from Japan,” although the government knew that they were coming. But they had to sacrifice our military personnel so that they could go to war.
The latest example is the COVID lockdowns. It does not surprise me that no one in politics, bureaucracy, media, academia, or expert policymakers has apologized yet because they never do, but this, just like WMDs, the Gulf of Tompkin, and 9/11, was the height of deception and lies, a perfect example of the creation of a nonexistent problem and as usual all the mentioned pillars of power were loud and clear in creating it. They broke the fabric of life and compassion, destroyed economies and livelihoods, and took away lots of freedoms and self-reliance to get an excuse to grab more power and control and make some crony corporations rich.
