Since the dawn of time, man has reported spiritual experiences from drugs. : Drugs

I just found people bashing on another person for including a spiritual discussion of his trip with DMT. He was questioning reality due to seeing a new color, and everyone was telling him that spiritual BS belongs on /r/psychonaut.

While that may be a more appropriate subreddit for that particular discussion, I feel it really reduces /r/Drugs to say people can’t talk about their spiritual feelings in regards to substances.

I’m not saying that you have to believe there is spiritual effects to drugs. It easily could all be scientifically explained. However, the fact of the matter is that people that do drugs often experience ‘spiritual’ breakthroughs. There is nowhere on /r/Drugs that says the discussions must all be kept Atheistic, or pertaining to visible reality. /r/Drugs, unless I am mistaken, is a place to discuss the effects and use of drugs under all circumstances and purposes. Spirituality is one of these.

I guess the strangest thing was to see this person get downvoted, and all the trolls telling him he was wrong being upvoted. I suppose I may get downvoted to. But I’d much rather be downvoted in this case than say nothing at all.
