Some say the Gillette Fatboy is the best safety razor ever made, I can appreciate why they say this, the Fatboy was so well made, it looks good, it benefits from perfect dimensions and weight and being adjustable you can choose the level of aggressiveness which best suits your needs.nFatboy’s are getting increasingly difficult to source especially ones in good working order.nnThis particular razor has been fully restored, it was stripped down, sonically cleaned then replated in shiny nickel. The finish on this razor is very shiny and bright. The black indicator numbers and red indicator button have been repainted using enamel paint.nnStamped ‘MADE IN USA E4 Reg US PAT OFF’. E2 is coding, E tells us the razor was made in 1959 and 4 means the razor was made in the fourth quarter of that year.nnThe adjustment mechanism clicks reassuringly into place as it should. The TTO butterfly doors open and close as they did back in 1959. This razor is 100% shave ready and looks as it did when it left the workshop in 1959.nnn
