All about this DSEAR course Our DSEAR course is suitable for anyone working with dangerous substances and in explosive atmospheres. Throughout this DSEAR course, you will learn what DSEAR is and that it is a health and safety legislation that duty holders such as employers and the self-employed must comply with. You will also gain a greater knowledge around where DSEAR applies, and that it applies to most work activities in Great Britain where dangerous substances are produced, used or present. It then looks at the existing precautions that are in place and determines whether they are sufficient to prevent people from being harmed. If the risk assessment determines that the precautions are insufficient to reduce the risk of harm, then further action will be required, which will be covered in this course. At the end of this course you will look at the control, mitigation and general safety measures required by DSEAR and the five safety principles that can be used when working with flammable substances.
