Description
All about this DSEAR course Our DSEAR course is suitable for anyone working with dangerous substances and in explosive atmospheres. Throughout this DSEAR course, you will learn what DSEAR is and that it is a health and safety legislation that duty holders such as employers and the self-employed must comply with. You will also gain a greater knowledge around where DSEAR applies, and that it applies to most work activities in Great Britain where dangerous substances are produced, used or present. In this course you will acknowledge that DSEAR is the main law that covers dangerous substances and explosive atmospheres. However you will cover the additional applicable health and safety laws relating to DSEAR. Our DSEAR course will cover the importance of risk assessments and that they examine the hazards in the workplace and evaluate the risk of harm to workers and others. It then looks at the existing precautions that are in place and determines whether they are sufficient to prevent people from being harmed. If the risk assessment determines that the precautions are insufficient to reduce the risk of harm, then further action will be required, which will be covered in this course. At the end of this course you will look at the control, mitigation and general safety measures required by DSEAR and the five safety principles that can be used when working with flammable substances. In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80 or more in the final multiple choice quiz. You will earn 3 CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around 3 hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.
