All of the illustrations in this collection are by Howard Chandler Christy (1873-1952) who was an American artist and illustrator, famous for the ‘Christy’ girl. Christy was born in Ohio and studied in New York at the National Academy and the Art Students’ League. He gained attention as a combat artist during the Spanish-American war and was soon illustrating for numerous magazines. His Christy girls were a picturesque and romantic type of society women, very peculiarly his own. Images in this collection range from 1336 pixels wide/tall to 3272px wide/tall.
