Time and time again, throughout the course of history, different groups of people, nations, religions, ideologies and cultures thought that they have reached the pinnacle of growth and perfection. They have built an ideal civilization and system, that will be good for ever, till the end of this world or judgment day. No more changes, modifications, improvement, adjustments and reformations are necessary. This is the end of the world and every one living in this world, right now and in future, must submit to this ideal and perfect civilization and system, regardless of their affiliation to any nation, civilization, religion, ideology and culture. At the top of it, when religions got this idea, they believed that their system and the way of living is absolutely necessary for success in both worlds, this world and hereafter and any one not in compliance with it, must me subjected to submission by force, for his or her own good. Historically, these approaches caused huge wars, bloodshed and loss of life. This is the approach behind radical Muslim ideology that is causing world wide terrorism, most orthodox factions of all major religions of the world, communist and socialist regimes like North Korea and conservatives in United States who are screaming against the separation of church and government. What is seriously funny about all this is that none of these perceivably perfect ideologies and systems ever turned out to be perfect and every economic, financial, political, religious and cultural ideology and system, that failed to adopt with the demands of evolution, progress and change with time, ultimately fell down to Earth, from so called pinnacle of civilization. Most of them are now either found in books of history, Hollywood movies like Conan The Barbarian or in the memories and pride based on good old past. This is not only true with human civilizations. Numerous mighty animal and plant species that failed to adopt, faced extinction and are now found only in movies like Jurassic Park. Whatever you call it, adoption, modification, change, confirmation or evolution, words don’t really matter. The fact is that nothing and no one except God is perfect and doesn’t matter how much you love any particular ideas, they are bound to get out dated, after a while and must be replaced by something that is more contemporary and fits the new demands, needs and requirements. In simple words, I am talking about an eternal war between hope and fear. There has always been one side that feared that abandoning or changing current state of affairs and the way things are done, will leave us astray and we will be undoubtedly lost. This is like when a child is learning to walk, he must accept that falling and hurting a few times is worth for the sake of mobility. Like, one must realize that it will not be as safe and protected but it is critically important to leave home and go out, for the sake of survival and for the better quality of life. Just because, outer environment is a little bit more risky, doesn’t mean that we have to stay home all the time. We have to let the hope, associated with outside ventures, to overcome the fear of leaving home. Unless you leave home, one will never learn the benefits that he or she can get from outside world, like education, social interaction, jobs, business, money, etc. With elections on the horizon, we are seeing that this war is getting intensified, again. We have one group of scared cry babies, who keep screaming, this is not us, this is not American, this is not who we are, this is socialist, this is foreign. They are taking away from us, our identity; they want to convert us into someone and something else. My dear folks, let me tell you this. Nothing is more American then, change and hope. We are the one who changed world for ever and for better. We belong to a nation and country, that drastically changed the rules of game, right from the beginning. We declared, in no vague terms, all men are created equal. We provided every citizen, a right to vote. We provided equal opportunities to all citizens, in every aspect of life, education, business, employment, social rights, finance, you name it. We gave women equal rights. We became a hope for billions of people around the world. Who else, in human history, can claim more change and more hope. We adopted, changed and stood up after recessions, depression, wars, civil wars and all kind of other crises, again, and again, and again, and again and again. Just twenty years ago, in 1980s, when wall street melt down happened, every one around the world was talking about Japan taking over U.S. leadership. But, we reorganized our businesses, our markets, did new innovative miracles like, Internet, kept inventing new technologies and Japan was left far behind, again. This crisis is not very much different from all the others in past. For time being, we forgot that our ancestors ran away from special interest. We overlooked the fact that we became unique and most powerful in the world because, in our country, every citizen was special. We let certain groups override the constitutional guarantee of equal opportunities and equal rights for every one. We permitted rich people buy our government and media by lobbying and advertising money. We allowed few banks to control whole economy. And we paid the price. Trillions of dollars of poor tax payers money to save the almighty banks and corporations. We proved that real American power are not these corporations and banks. Real power are hard working Americans, their hard work and hard earned money. These crappy and greedy executives were saved by the money owned by same people, they were ripping off. What could be a bigger insult for these shameless people. But, some politicians are still not getting the message. They are still playing in the hands powerful lobbies. They need to understand that ultimate power lies in the hands of people and not in rich corporations, lobbies and media.
