The origin of Socialism was Utopian, and it has remained so. It kept getting worse and worse, still getting worse:
“Introduction to Origin and History of Utopian Socialism: In 1515, Thomas More conceptualized an atheistic and communist republic in his novel, ‘Utopia.’ Utopia [ou-topos = not place] has come to denote a vision of an ideal and flawless society. [ou-topos = not-place] The etymology of this word, which translates to a place that doesn’t exist, represents an idealistic stream of thought, something utopian socialists platformed in the early 19th century.” SociologyGroup.com.
Utopia was elitism right from the very beginning:
“In May 1515, More was appointed to a delegation to revise an Anglo-Flemish commercial treaty. The conference was held at Brugge, with long intervals that More used to visit other Belgian cities. He began in the Low Countries and completed his Utopia after returning to London, which was published in Leuven in December 1516. The book was an immediate success with the audience for which More wrote it: the humanists and an elite group of public officials.” Britannica.com.
Utopia was an imperialist rhetoric all along:
“Indeed, in addition to More’s Utopia, other works of utopian literature such as Francis Bacon’s New Atlantis (1627), Samuel Butler’s Erewhon (1872), and William Morris’s News From Nowhere (1890) are all steeped in imperialist rhetoric, placing utopian ideas within the firm context of European imperialism.” Thecollector.com.
Not all utopians were dogmatic, though. Francis Bacon had serious issues with dogma:
“Bacon’s struggle to overcome intellectual blockades and the dogmatic slumber of his age and earlier periods had to be fought on many fronts.” Plato.Stanford.edu.
Bacon insisted that dogma’s roots are intense and not a thing of the past. It continues to exist in a new disguise:
“THE PARASCEVE 11
was in some way essentially different not only from
any that had been before but from any that has been
since, is a position from which in both cases the in-
quiry sets out ; and since it is one which will not per-
haps be readily granted by everybody, it may be worth
while to explain the considerations which led me to
it ; the rather because Mr. Ellis and myself, though
proceeding not only independently but by entirely dif-
ferent roads and in pursuit of different objects — he
endeavouring to penetrate the secret of Bacon’s phi-
losophy, I endeavouring to understand the objects and
purposes of his life — meet nevertheless at this point
in the same conclusion.” Archive.org.
This is the crazy thing about dogma. It never goes away. It just changes the form and shape. After every epic failure, the power brokers repackage the same old thing and throw it back at us, telling us that it is now fixed and will work. Starting in Sumeria, the first known civilization was ruled by gods, then by demigods, pharaohs, emperors, and kings. Even in modern secular states, the same old dogma persists. The dogma never disappeared, even after the so-called separation of church and state. We still have a religion called the secular state; God is called the government, a holy book is called the constitution, a prophet is called the president, and apostles are now referred to as cabinet, legislature, and courts. Corporate media and public schools are new churches and church schools—all under the umbrella of so-called Atheism, the new religion of the secular state.
Atheists and secular states also use the same strategy as Theistic states. Crushing the freedom of speech is the staple, as usual. The excuse is still the same: To prevent harm. Just like the priests in the priesthood, the modern priests in politics and crony corporate media must decide what you are allowed to say and do and what you are not. Both treat you as a stupid child. Apstacy is now renamed as a conspiracy theory. Any disagreement, challenge, and suspicion must be ignored entirely and suppressed. People believe in it, and spreading it must be completely ostracised. God forbid, how can the people with all the authority, power, and control ever do anything wrong? They are omnipotent gods. They do not make mistakes like humans. They are not driven by lust, greed, selfishness, or thirst for power, control, and authority.
Every tactic remains the same, and they continue to employ the same strategy. The only difference is that technology has given them far more power and reach. Their control is much tighter than before, not imagined by Theistic establishments. All the priests in this Atheistic priesthood, so-called scientists, academia, media gurus, politicians, bureaucrats, and technocrats, are entirely innocent. They are always right, and they can never do anything wrong. They are above and beyond all criticism and disagreements. If they mandate a poison, you must take it, or else, after all, Socrates did that. Why can’t you? If they go for a war based on absolute lies, you must follow suit. Otherwise, you are an apostate or conspiracy theorist. If they deny millions of witnesses of UFOs, you must believe them; otherwise, you are crazy and stupid.
Like Theists, they never apologize, accept a mistake, and never change their ways, even after the blunder is proven beyond any doubt. Their lies, mistakes, and warmongering may cause millions of deaths and the destruction of property, businesses, and families, but the culprits hardly ever get punished. Why should they get punished? They are gods, after all.In many state legal systems, including USA, it is either not allowed or made incredibly difficult to prosecute the president and even former presidents or any head of state for any acts done during tenure, even for the useless and baseless war that got milliond killed. Mass murder is as horrible as it sounds, but suddenly becomes acceptable and even heroic when it is renamed as war. Theft is as despicable as it sounds but becomes fine and a necessary evil when renamed as tax.
An technorat can do something that was not even remotely unimaginable to the worst despots in past. He can imprison the whole nations in the home, being the world trade to a screeching halt, force everyone to wear a piece of clothing, Makes it okay to redistribute billions around the world among cronies, Force healthy people to take a novel medicine that is not even properly tested for safety, make hundreds to of thousands of grad parents to not see their grand kids for years, all in the name of separation of state and church and all in the name of public’s own safety.
