The first Arctic Parka, in fact, was created in 1972 to protect Alaskan oil pipeline workers from the harsh Arctic climates. Made with the characteristic Ramar fabric, it is reinforced with an innovative Teflon coating for greater resistance to rain and wind and is padded with duck down. The sleek lines of the piece are finished with a detachable fur insert around the hood and a series of pockets to keep essentials close at hand.
