The box is made from heavy chipboard (cardboard) and covered on the outside with an attractive black leather-like paper and our logo in gold foil. It has two compartments for separating the pieces and a full telescoping lid the full height of the box so it securely stays on. The overall size is 9 x 7 x 3 and will hold most chess sets up to a 4.25 king like our Zukert Series plastic chess set.
