Unit 2 – Working with children who have learning difficulties and disabilities – In this unit you will encounter some of the challenges that can be faced when working with children with learning difficulties and disabilities and an outline of some of the skills needed to overcome these challenges. You will also look at different models of disabilities and their advantages and disadvantages. You will then explore different methods of meaningfully working with disabled children and families to create an effective plan of provision. Unit 5 – How to support a child with learning difficulties or disabilities – In the final unit of this course, you will encounter advice and guidance on how to work with parents, carers and other care professionals, you will then look at different techniques of adapting to the needs of children with disabilities and learning difficulties.
