You will also cover how supervision links to the Health and Social Care Act (2008), CQC guidance and CQC’s Key Lines of Enquiry. Unit 2 – Different Types of Supervision – In this unit you will start by reviewing the functions of supervision before looking at the different ways supervision can be delivered, you will look at how supervision links to good performance management and the soft skills needed for carrying out effective supervision. Unit 3 – The Role of the Supervisor – This unit will focus on the role of the supervisor in detail, you will explore who can be a supervisor and the CQC guidance is on the role of a supervisor, you will cover the attributes of a good supervisor, including values, attitudes, behaviours, knowledge, experience and key stills that contribute to this. Unit 4 – Dealing with difficult situations – In our final unit you will explore the role of supervision and the role of supervisors in giving staff feedback and having challenging conversations with staff, you will also be provided with tips on how to give feedback effectively and constructively.
