GLADIATORS PLAYING… CHARADES??? Gladiators are known for being truly fierce competitors. You have to be??when you’re fighting for your life! But what if gladiators didn’t fight, but instead played… Charades? It certainly is a strange thought. An arena full of people sitting in silence, as one gladiator pretends to be a donkey and his teammate sits there stumped. You’re a horse! No, a cow! No, a table! A kangaroo? We are not sure that this is really the most entertaining way for gladiators to spend their time in the ring, but if they played charades, no one would have to die!?? They could always play other games too. Gladiators playing musical chairs? A small band sits in one corner of the ring, and they play Rome’s favorite pop hits while the gladiators walk in a circle around the chairs. Then, the music stops, and the gladiators rush to the nearest chair. The fate for the loser is truly terrible, he gets booed by the whole crowd! (still a much better fate than death.) We’re trying to sell these new ideas for gladiator games, but even WE are not really buying it.?? FUN DETAILS?? So for now, we will just have to assume gladiators fought the way we always imagined. Which makes it a good thing that this gladiator costume comes complete with a foam chest piece and shin guards, to make sure that even when you’re in the ring, you’re protected from any plastic swords that find their way past your shield! This costume comes complete with wristguards and a headband, both made of faux suede. And of course, you’ll be sporting the knee length tunic that any self-respecting gladiator might have worn.?? YOUR TURN IN THE RING As you put on your gladiator costume, you will feel like a true warrior, ready for any games you might possibly play. Are you going bobbing for apples at a Halloween party? That’s nothing for a gladiator like yourself. You’ll have all the strength and bravery to conquer any obstacles that might cross your path that night. After all, you are a gladiator!??
