The Levi’s ® Made & Crafted ® Studio Taper offers a refined look, yet offers modern functionality with a fit that’s tailored for today, and stretch for optimal comfort. We crafted this pair from premium selvedge denim from Japan’s renowned Nissinbho Mills, a leading manufacturer with a century-long legacy. The finest denim in production today, selvedge comes from the term self-edge, and refers to the woven strip on both edges of a roll of fabric. Selvedge is traditionally woven on narrow-width shuttle looms, producing a clean edge with no fringe, and proprietary indigo stitches displayed at the cuff. Every drop counts, so we aim to use less water. Our designers are constantly thinking of new ways to create the same styles you love while cutting back on H2O, such as updating finishing techniques to require less water than traditional processes. These are made using our WaterLess ® techniques.
