Flash forward a few decades. By the late ™80s, vintage Levi ™s ® jeans had become popular collectables, with the Red Tab ® as the focus. For seasoned thrifters, a œBig E, found only on Levi ™s ® manufactured before 1971, meant scoring a pair of authentic vintage 501 ® jeans. Even rarer was a double-sided œBig E Red Tab ®.
