Description
The classic pear lead goes really far, almost as far as Distance Casting, and is less affected by side wind due to its compact shape. This means that the pear shaped sinker adapts to most fishing situations depending on your casting skills. Its compact shape can be an advantage when fishing in silt. Use a light sinker, say 28 gr or 56 gr and let it sink into the mud, this will increase its inertia considerably and a light sinker will turn into a heavy sinker in the mud. Its rounded edges make you feel the impact of the lead on the bottom better than a lead with sharp edges. If you are new to this technique this lead will be perfect for you. In our opinion the fact that you can feel the sinker touching the bottom is essential to practice a controlled fishing. The pear shaped sinker is also ideal for PVA bags. It can be pushed to the bottom of a corner of the PVA bag. This increases the weight at the head of the bag and the accuracy of the cast.
