These swivel sinkers are the result of our observations in the Under water 4 videos. There is no doubt that when fishing on a hard gravel bottom, inline sinkers sting fish better than swivel sinkers. The reason is that fish always lift the lead in its heaviest part first, because the leader is always attached to the heaviest part of the lead. In the case of Korda Inline sinkers, the swivel is semi-fixed inside the sinker, exaggerating the self-ironing effect by the same token. My intention when I saw these videos was to create the most compact lead possessed by the IBle artificial lead. The fish will have to move a minimum to bear the full weight of the entire lead. The most condensed form is a ball, but a ball would roll before its full weight is felt and would also make it easier to wig. So I opted for 4 flat parts with the back slightly profiled to avoid e mmêlements. An appropriate name that summarizes the characteristics of this lead is SQUARE PEAR.
