Unit 3 – Lead control measures – In this unit you will explore lead control measures and why employers should first prevent exposure to lead in the workplace. You will then look at how employers can adequately control exposure if it is not preventable. Unit 4 – Lead and health – In the final unit, you will be introduced to lead and health. You will look at the requirements for health and medical surveillance and how employees’ health is checked at work and the recommended blood-lead and urinary-lead requirements. You will finish by looking at the requirements for data protection regarding employees’ medical information and health records.
