You need to get E.T. to the clearing before his heartlight fades away forever. If you can complete both of those arduous tasks without getting caught by the FBI, then victory is yours! This board game is a cooperative game. Rather than playing against one another, you and your fellow players will be playing against the FBI as well as time itself.
