Our Deluxe Club plastic chess set has an attractive Staunton design with a handsome knight that is nicely detailed. The pieces have a wide base and are weighted for additional stability on the chess board. The plastic has a matte finish and pieces are virtually indestructible which makes them practical for the classroom. The chess bag is made from a heavy canvas material that will withstand the rigors of frequent use and travel. The bag has a full length zipper for easy access and a handle for carrying. Inside there’s a zippered storage compartment for holding pieces, space for a rolled up vinyl chess board, straps and padding to secure a clock, and a pockets for scorebooks. The chess board is made from a soft, pliable vinyl with a cloth backing and algebraic notation around the border. It’s easy to clean and flattens out nicely.
