The primary responsibility of the Benefits Project Manager (BPM) is to improve the financial and quality results of the aligned work group through the development and application of best-in-class management methodology, based on the methodology advocated by the Project Management Institute. The BPM will write, monitor, and manage project plans and perform risk management, capacity planning and financial management for various projects that impact the work group or client(s). The BPM will coordinate with other Project Managers on improving the overall methodology and reporting results within and across work groups.


Key Responsibilities/Activities:

* Creates, monitors, and influences project plans for various benefits projects

* Performs risk analysis and planning for assigned projects

* Monitors risk ongoing and reports changes to stakeholders

* Prioritizes work activity for group or client(s) based on risk and capacity assessments

* Communicates project progress to leaders and stakeholders

* Interacts with other Project Managers to improve methodology and reporting

* Financial measurements and reporting for group or client(s) tracking key progress to targeted goals and working with team to address noted deficiencies


Education and Certifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

* PMI certification, PMP a plus

Work Experience:

* Strong experience in project management with demonstrated mastery in effectively running meetings, establishing goals, setting priority, defining roles and responsibilities, assigning tasks, closing issues, resolving conflict, and moving projects forward

* Significant experiences in driving results and proven history to see downstream impacts and navigate through them

* Facilitate project progress through strong listening, influencing, presentation, and communication skills
