After years of honing their abstract lyrics and shimmering melodies by playing gigs in front rooms, on trains and in lecture halls, Little Comets became instant favourites of the British indie scene with 2010’s debut single ‘One Night in October’. Critical acclaim followed – most notably for last year’s sophomore album, ‘Life is Elsewhere’. No surprises, then, that this summer’s been a busy one.
Going from their own headline tour in spring to appearances at Secret Garden Party and Boardmasters – and fitting in a tour of the States – they’re used to playing to big crowds. But that’s not a talent they’ll need when their Intimate Session rolls round.
A mere 250 lucky guests will get to witness the trio take to the stage at one of Manchester’s most bespoke Rock ’n Roll venues. Hidden on the edge of the city’s Northern Quarter, this intimate Lounge is renowned for its impressive acoustics – much like the band themselves.
Twenty guests at the gig will even get the chance to meet and chat to Little Comets before they take to the stage. How’s that for intimate?
