I had a heck of a delay in choosing a new mod.
The holiday weekend (week) kept me away a lot, and when I went to go back for replies to the questions I sent potential mods I had to sift through several thousand orange/reds (the joys of making the front page of Reddit is that you can kiss your inbox good-bye).
Still, I have reviewed the answers and I think I have come up with the best candidate we had apply. The others who were sent questionnaires all did a great job, answering, and honestly, this was really tough. Several people gave answers that were perfectly fine and did a job that made me want to bring on several mods, but we’re just not that big.
So I decided to look at who answered fastest, assuming they might be on more, I also looked at their postings in this sub a bit, and finally I chose someone who gave correct and concise answers to my questions. They also worded the responses well . . .
So I’d like to ask everyone in the sub if they are on board with welcoming a new moderator. The user that was selected is /u/exodusmachine [1]
