Posting Job Description SUMMARY OF POSITION

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Director, Human Resources for the Human Resources WBTV Production department. Under the direction of the SVP & VP of TV Human Resources, serves as HR Business Partner for day-to-day HR operations for the TV Groups including WBTV Production, Warner Horizon, Animation, Telepictures, WW TV Marketing, Int’l TV Production, WBTV Group, Media Research & Insights, Shed Media, Alloy Entertainment and various production entities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Interprets HR policies, practices and company philosophy and ensures effective implementation and administration of the same within assigned client groups. Partners with VP, HR and Corporate functions to gather information regarding organizational perspective and impact, where needed. Maintains current knowledge of applicable federal and local legislation and regulations pertinent to the various TV Groups, ensuring compliance across client groups.

Works with managers to help define and clarify roles and responsibilities. Partners with management regarding department organization and staff responsibilities to ensure effective utilization of resources. Reviews job descriptions and provides guidance and feedback regarding levels. Ensure consistency of levels across client groups. Partners with Corporate Compensation to level positions.

Handles employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner. Counsels employees and managers on a variety of issues. Provides guidance to supervisor in resolving employee relations concerns. Conducts thorough and impartial investigations. Serves as advocate to both employee and the company regarding policies, work environment and performance issues.

Manage the Personal Service Contracts process including the gathering of internal/external comparators for new deals, managing the option notice process, working closely with SVP/VP on revisions during contract negotiations, etc.

Works with managers and employees to ensure consistency of ongoing performance appraisal process, including Initial Performance Appraisals, and the PPR process. Educates management regarding the appraisal process and performance measurement criteria to ensure consistent application of the programs. Communicates timelines and measures completion, addressing any issues and ensuring consistency.

Oversight and analysis of salary budget for temporary staffing, internship program, and overtime for overhead employees; prepare corporate finance report, salary sheets, promotions & add-to-staff report and documents for original, mid-year & year-end budget for TV Production and Horizon.

Manages the salary justification process including off-cycle promotions/adjustments that are not a part of the annual Total Rewards Program. Verifies accuracy of bonus target reports and initiates request for equity grants.

Works closely with SVP and VP on prepping for re-orgs and acquisitions, etc.

Performs other special projects, etc. as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma required.

BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field preferred.

Minimum 5-7 years experience in Human Resources as a Generalist required.

Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Labor Relations experience a plus.

Previous experience in employee relations preferred.

Production experience helpful.

Ability to interact with all levels of management and various departments throughout the company.

Strong analytical abilities required.

Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to influence key decision makers.

Must have ability to work well resolving employee conflicts/disputes.

Must have working knowledge of EEO policy and Sexual Harassment policy.

Must be able to communicate effectively with upper level management.

Must be able to work well under time constraints.
