Homeland security compliant first aid kits

The phrase “unhealthy foods” invariably conjures up pictures of breaded, deep-fried meats slathered in butter or gravy. It is true that such foodstuffs are not found at the top of the USDA food pyramid, but they are far from the worst items vying to clog your family’s arteries. The worst culprits are processed foods, those prepackaged goods that lurk around grocery aisles tempting you with bargain prices and wrappers adorned with photos of eerily happy families.
What are the worst of the worst? Let’s take a look:
#5
Coming in at number five is a family of treats that we all remember fondly from childhood: snack cakes. These babies pack a mean punch.
Yes, they are sweet, but the real kicker is how they are sweetened.
These miniature cakes can be almost 50 percent high-fructose corn syrup by volume. That’s right, half of the product you are eating is an invert sugar (a super sugar chemically forced into liquid form).
The other 50 percent? Artificial flavors, artificial colors, and a few nasty preservatives.
