Al Jarwan calls on Arab countries, international organisations to assist Sudan

Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, has appealed to the Arab countries, the Arab League and the Red Crescent, the Red Cross, regional and international organisations to provide urgent humanitarian relief to the Sudanese people.

Tens of thousands of the Sudanese people have been displaced and lost their homes after devastating floods and rains swept through most parts of the cities of Sudan. The floods and rains are expected to continue until the end of the week.

Al Jarwan reiterated his call on businesspersons and benevolent in the Arab, Islamic world and the whole world to act urgently to send relief aid to Sudan to avoid worsening crisis in the sisterly country.
